Its time for another shotgun review, and this one is a two-fer. We look at Mossberg's new "Retrograde" Model 500 and M590A1. Both shotguns are chambered for 12 gauge (2&3/4th" & 3" Magnum shells), and both come from the factory with a set of hardwood furniture. The basic 500 has an 18" barrel, 5+1 capacity, beed sight, and a blued finish to the metal. The military style M590A1 has a 20" heavy wall barrel, 8+1 capacity, ghost ring sights, parkerized finish, and comes with both a bayonet lug and heat shield. We examine each one, going over its features, as well as take one to the range for a quick test firing and review. Interested in becoming a Patreon contributor?
