Sanxay, August, 2007 The great Romanian soprano Roxana Briban (28 October 1971 – 20 November 2010) performs one of her most affective roles, Leonora from Il Trovatore. This is a tribute to her life, truly dedicated to the art of singing. Her wonderful, unique voice combined with passion and emotion, refinement and great acting skills brought us legendary performances in roles like Cio Cio san (Madama Butterfly), Violetta (La Traviata), Elisabetta di Valois (Don Carlo), Aida, Leonora (Il Trovatore), Alice Ford (Falstaff), Amelia Grimaldi (Simon Boccanegra), Mimi, Micaela, Hanna Glawari, Margherita/Elena(Mefistofele), Requiem (Verdi), Contessa(Le Nozze di Figaro), Donna Anna/Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Leila (les Pecheurs de Perles), Nedda (I Pagliacci), . Unfortunately, in a tragic day of 20th of November 2010, Roxana became our angel. May she rest in peace! Lux aeterna!
